APA supplied over ½ million dollars in grants to LPA in the last decade, and during the major legislative initiative for RxP, leading to Prescriptive Authority in 2004. (See list.) It is not known if any of this money helped support Act 251. But after reading various accounts of events, Dr. Tom Hannie gave his opinion and said, “In short, APA and LPA funds were used to create a new profession.”
