Things don’t happen unless people work together to make them happen. We could have called this the community psychology award. It goes to the individual or group that transcended the typical politics and subgroup differences, to bring people together in a positive way. The award recognizes the importance of team effort, mutual respect, and the diversity that is key to innovation and productivity.
This year’s award goes to members of the multi-disciplinary Louisiana Coalition for Violence Prevention, who have reached across the mental health disciplines in Louisiana. Dr. John Simoneaux, Cindy Nardini, LPC, Dr. Bryan Gros, Dr. Yael Banai, Bobette Laurendine, LCSW, and Dr. Mkay Bonner.
