The Secretary of Health, Bruce Greenstein, has said that he will resign, announced Governor Jindal’s office last week.
Greenstein did not explain his decision in a two-page resignation letter, but rather focused on his affection for the state and its people. “This state’s gracious people and generous culture have left a permanent and meaningful impact on the lives of my family and me,” he wrote.
Greenstein has been involved in controversy surrounding the awarding of a Medicaid contract to a company where he once worked. Governor Jindal’s administration canceled the contract with the Maryland based firm after reports of a federal grand jury subpoena involving the contract was leaked, according to the Baton Rouge Advocate.
