HB 79, HB 155, HB 326 and HB 212 have to do with various aspects of school safety. HB 79 “Provides relative to the preparation, content, rehearsal, review, revision, and approval of school crisis management and response plans.” HB 155 “Provides relative to school emergency plans and to the definition, preparation, content, review, revision, and provision of copies thereof; requires in-service training, applicable to all public schools, including charter schools.”

HB 326 “Provides relative to the preparation, content, rehearsal, review, revision, and approval of school crisis management and response plans; requires school boards to provide for school resource officers at public schools and that such officers be armed.”

And HB 212 “Authorizes the creation of a statewide planning and mapping system for nonpublic schools, proprietary schools, and nonpublic colleges and universities to assist first responders in a disaster or emergency.”
