Louisiana State University’s Dr. Tracey Rizzuto presented a workshop on community development to the Alliance for Children and Families Neighborhood Revitalization Conference. The Conference was held July 24 and was an opportunity for non-profit agencies from across the country to learn about community building and inter- organizational collaboration.

Rizzuto and colleague Dr. Mary Ellen Brown presented information that is being implemented in the Baton Rouge area and funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Justice. Rizzuto’s and Brown’s workshop was titled, “Connecting People & Building Community: Using Social Network Analysis and Ladders of Collaborations to Identify Common Threads that Connect Community Neighbors and Non-Profits.”

Rizzuto is an organizational- industrial psychologist with the School of Human Resource Education & Workforce Development, in the newly organized LSU College of Human Sciences & Education.

She is interested in building access to knowledge, expertise, and resources for managing change in the modern workplace. Rizzuto studies attitudinal and behavioral responses to large-scale organizational change, governmental integrated enterprise systems, and healthcare information technology.
