The simple truth is that there is no one close to the determination and self- sacrifice of the Salcedos when it comes to pure altruism, and the effort they pour into saving the most heart-wrenching children of our time, sex- trafficked girls. This year we saw their efforts at consciousness-raising emerge in a variety of efforts around the state, in Dr. Salcedo being named Distinguished Psychologist, and his being named to the Advisory board. Together Beth and Rafael are changing the world. Our hats remain off and over our hearts on this one.
