A request for an extenstion filed by Dr. Rodney Hesson's attorney was granted by the Judge, Judge Carl Barbier, US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, on August 13. The request stated, "The prison where HESSON is incarcerated is still restricting visitation due to COVID 19. This is an onerous impediment to communication between HESSON and undersigned counsel in connection with preparing the reply. […]" The new date is October 2, 2020.
