Dr. Charles Figley, Professor and Distinguished Chair in Disaster Mental Health at Tulane, continues his exemplary contributions to society and proves himself a leader once again in developing messages that can make a difference. This time he and Mark Russell took on the military establishment in their book about the psychological impact of war, Psychiatric Casualties: How and Why the Military Ignores the Full Cost of War. It takes courage to tell it like it is. We are impressed with Dr. Figley and his lifelong dedication to helping all those suffering from trauma and trauma–related disorders.
