Psychology Board Hires Prosecutor

On December 22 the psychology Board announced that it has retained a new prosecutor, attorney James Raines.

Mr. Raines is a partner in the Baton Rouge office of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, L.L.P. and according to the firm’s website he practices in the areas of casualty, tort and insurance defense, with an emphasis on workers' compensation matters.

Another major focus of his practice according to the website is an emphasis on Medicare compliance and also Medicare Secondary Payer Act, in which Mr. Raines has earned a designation.

He graduated in 2004 from the Paul M. Hebert Law School at Louisiana State University. He acquired an undergraduate degree in psychology from Harding University in 1997, and a Masters in psychology and also in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University.

The board has declined to be interviewed by the Times on this and other matters.
