The Psychology Times 2013 COMMUNITY AWARD ALTRUISM Raphael and Beth Salcedo
Love is patient, kind, not puffed up. It must also be steadfast and determined. This year’s winners of the Altruism Award epitomize all of these.
Dr. Raphael Salcedo and wife Beth Salcedo have embraced the heart-wrenching tragedy of child sex trafficking. They continue to push for change and to attempt to help these young victims who are trapped by the darkest elements of society. Louisiana is one of the more progressive states in legislative reforms that fight this crime, because of the Salcedos and others like them.
This year’s Altruism Award goes to Raphael and Beth Salcedo for their courage, unselfishness, and determination to stop child sex trafficking and to offer genuine help to these youngsters.
